Ten Symbol
Starting off with the lowest value symbols used in Book of Ra. The Ten symbol along with the Jack and Queen symbols is the lowest value symbol used in both Book of Ra slots. As such and due to it’s low value you will likely see a lot of 10’s scattered across the five reels, each time you place a bet.
To achieve a payout you need to hit three or more ten’s on a winning payline. Three 10’s returns 50% of your bet stake, with four 10’s providing a win worth two and a half times your stake.
Five 10’s on a winning payline returns ten times your bet stake.
Jack Symbol
The Jack symbol is the joint lowest value symbol in play as is the case with most slot machines which feature the high value symbols from a pack of playing cards.
To achieve a payout you are required to hit three or more Jacks on one of the winning paylines in play. Which is up to 10 paylines in the Deluxe version of Book of Ra and 9 paylines in the Classic version of Book of Ra.
Three Jacks returns 50% of your bet stake, whilst five Jacks provides a return of ten times your stake. In Book of Ra the Jack is worth the same value as the Ten and Queen Symbols.
Queen Symbol
The last of the lowest value symbols used by Book of Ra is the Queen, which is of the same worth as the 10 and the Jack symbols, which have been covered above.
You may have found playing other slots that the Queen is worth more than the 10 and the Jack, but this is not the case with Book of Ra, with the Queen symbol being afforded the joint lowest value.
The Queen symbol returns 50% of your stake by hitting three queen symbols on a winning payline. Like the Jack and the Ten symbols, the Queen can return a maximum of ten times your stake should you hit five Queen symbols on a winning payline.
King Symbol
The King Symbol is the second lowest value symbol in the game along with the Ace Symbol.
However, The King Symbol’s value is only worth more than the Ten, Jack and Queen upon hitting four or more Kings on a winning payline. With three Kings returning the same at 50% of your bet stake.
Four Kings hit though provides a greater return, giving you four times your bet stake. Whilst five Kings hit on a winning payline returns a healthy 15 times your bet stake.
Ace Symbol
Like the King Symbol detailed above, the Ace symbol is the second lowest value symbol in play in Book of Ra and is also the last of the traditional playing card symbols to appear in the slot.
Three Aces provide you a return of 50% of your bet stake, four Aces provide you 4 times your bet stake, with 5 Aces providing a return of 15 times your bet stake.
Statue Symbol
The first of the symbol’s unique to Book of Ra, the Statue Symbol is one of several symbols you will like to see appearing on winning paylines.
The Statue symbol also pays out if it occurs just twice on a winning payline, returning 50% of your stake. With three statues returning three times your stake
However, the return increases sharply should four statues be hit, providing a return of ten times your stake. Should you be fortunate to hit five statues you will enjoy a return of the value of 75 times your stake!
Scarab Beetle Symbol
Every Egyptian themed slot seems to have one and Book of Ra is no different in featuring the trusty Scarab Beetle symbol.
Like the Statue symbol, hitting two scarab beetles on a payline ensures a return of 50% of your stake.
The Scarab Beetle Symbol also has exactly the same payout percentages as the Statue Symbol, which are detailed above.
Tutankhamun Symbol
The Tutankhamun Symbol is the second highest value symbol in play in Book of Ra and as such does not appear as frequently as the symbols listed above. But when it does, the payout rewards are great.
Like the Scarab and Statue symbols, hitting two Tutankhamun symbols on a payline returns 50% of your bet stake.
The returns increase greatly by hitting three or more symbols. With five Tutankhamun symbols on a payline returning a staggering 200 times your bet stake. Three Tutankhamun’s returns four times your stake, whilst hitting four returns a very healthy 40 times your original bet stake.
Book of Ra Intrepid Explorer Symbol
The main character featuring in the Book of Ra is the intrepid explorer symbol, not too unlike Indiana Jones and also the highest value symbol in the game, barring the wild and scatter Book of Ra symbol itself.
Payouts start from appearing just twice on a payline, whereby your stake is returned. Hit three explorers and you gain a return to the value of ten times your stake.
The returns jump even further upon hitting four explorers, with a return of 100 times your stake. Five explorers gets you a mammoth return of 500 times your bet stake.
Book of Ra Symbol
Last but most certainly not least is the Book of Ra itself. With the Book of Ra Symbol acting as the slot’s wild and scatter symbols.
The Book of Ra also provides a payout in it’s own right, as well as acting as a wild symbol, substituting for all symbols in play and also as the game’s scatter.
